Everything You Need to Know

Do I have to get in the pool?

Yes, a grown up needs to be in the pool with Starfish and Tiddlers, until they move to independent lessons.

How long do classes last for?

The classes are 30 minutes long.

Do I have to be able to swim?

Absolutely not. We will be there to help you every step of the way and the pool is 1.2m deep throughout so you will be able to stand during the whole lesson. We won’t ever ask you to do anything you are uncomfortable with.

Will parents be able to shower after lessons?

Yes, we have two showers in each changing room which you can have a quick rinse off in, but the changing rooms are unisex and the showers don’t have cubicles so keep those cossies and trunks on please.

What if my baby/child is sick?

We will certainly miss them at the lesson but stay at home and get your little one better before your next lesson. You are the judge of how they are feeling but please if they have had sickness or diarrhoea in the last 48 hours keep them at home. Unfortunately we can’t refund lessons where you or your child are ill.

If my child is ill or we miss a class for any reason do I get a refund?

I’m afraid not, your payment reserves your child’s place in that class so if they miss it unfortunately we can’t refund their lesson.

What does my baby have to wear?

They will need a secure swim nappy (disposable or reusable) and either a swimming costume or shorts on top. Some parents put their children in a swim wrap or wetsuit which are perfect for keeping their little ones extra warm.

What does my child need for their lessons?

Their costume/shorts/trunks, a towel and hat/goggles if they like to wear them. Long hair should be tied up so it's away from their face. If they feel the cold, there are some great swimming wetsuits out there to buy.

Is there a viewing area?

We have a few viewing areas dotted around the building where you can watch your children swim.

What if I want to cancel?
